Gomiti with Mozzarella

Love pasta & cheese & tomatoes? And basil?
I sure do.

Gomiti with Mozzarella
Penne farfalle or any other large pasta shapes or tubes would also be good with this sauce. 
I like to use bow-shaped noodles. 

Ingredients:
6 Tbs olive oil
1 sm onion, finely chopped
14 oz creamed or pulped tomatoes
5 basil leaves
sald
13 oz dried gomiti
2 1/2 cups Mozzarella cheese, cut into very small cubes (or grated)
2/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
freshly ground black pepper

Directions:

Heat the oil and fry the onion until golden. Add the tomatoes and basil; cover and cook gently for 15 minutes. Add salt to taste

Meanwhile, cook the pasta until al dente, and drain. Mix quickly with the Mozzarella, the sauce, and the Parmesan, until the Mozzarella starts to melt with the heat of the pasta. Serve sprinkled with the black pepper.

Serves 4 (Or so they say. It really depends upon whom one is serving.)
